Our Epson 3070 is the Top Quality Industrial DTG printer in use today. It's detail is unsurpased by any other DTG printer in the business. There are DTG printers that cost more and even more that cost less but no other DTG printer achieves this quality on garments. One Limitation, Cotton is Best
Like all DTG printers the quality of the print has a lot to do with the Printer, but using 80% up to 100% cotton apparel really helps the quality of the print stand out. Ring spun low pile surfaces create a soft and super smooth surface once the shirt is pretreated and pressed beore printing. DTG is not recomended for polyester blends as you can see above the more polyester the more washed out it looks.
Only want a few Shirts? No Problem.
A DTG Printer does not need separations or screens to print. We pretreat the shirt and then digitally print your design directly on the garment. This is a quick easy process and has no minimums! Yes you can order just one custom t-shirt and have it look as profesionally printed as any shirt anywhere.
How to prepare your Art or Designs for the best result printing with our Direct to Garment printer.
Step one-Creation
For the BEST quality print using our Direct to Garment method, your art needs to start out at the best quality. Poor quality art, like very small files or low resolution files will cause your print to look pixelated when printed. For example, the image to the left was originally created at aproximately 14 inches wide x 18 inches tall at 300 pixels per inch. It was also originally created with a separate layer to represent the Maroon t shirt it would be printed on. (Your background layer should always be separate from your art layer.) This art was then saved as a .PSD master file for future editing and archiving.
Step two-Making a transparent background
If you created the original art with a separate background layer then simply delete the background layer and save your art again but this time as a .PNG file with the transparent background or no background.
If your not using Photoshop, or your art was taken from a flattened file that has an embedded colored or white background, you will likely have to edit your art manually to remove the background color. There are so many graphics programs out there we can't cover every type of program that you might choose to use, but in Photoshop (the most popular program) one can duplicate the main layer, delete the background color, and then using the eraser tool, the new top layer can be manually erased. Once you have your file prepared then just save it as a .PNG file
Step three- Send us your print ready .PNG file
Once you have your art file saved as a print ready .PNG you can send it to us via e-mail at sales@atlantascreenprints.com along with any instructions about what color, type of garment, and the quantity of items you want to print it on. Please keep in mind that a print ready .PNG file at print size may be over a megabyte in size. If your only sending one file, it should e-mail to us just fine. If you have multiple files for different locations (like a sleeve, front, back etc.) or you have several images with different instructions for each image and garment then send a seperate e-mail for each design with instructions. Alternatively you can put them all into a folder and go to our "Get a Quote" page shown to the left and use our "WeTransfer" upload. Using the "weTransfer" upload will allow you to send larger files and folders full of art with a size limitation of about 2 gigabytes. Just remember to include instructions so we have an idea what your looking for. You can always follow up with a phone call to 770-978-2854 for confirmation of our understanding.
Stay Organized and Efficient
We often print on goods provided by the customer. Our DTG printer will generally print Best on 100% cotton or mostly cotton garments.
If your providing your own goods please check the labels for material content. If the product isn't 80% cotton or higher we do not recoment DTG printing.
When sending us your garments, PLEASE make sure the shipping label identifies who you (the customer) are, so that when it arrives we arent confused as to who those goods belong to. If your dropping off your goods we will package them and label them properly to match your instructions and production time.
Being able to clearly identify your goods and match them to your art and instructions means we can complete your job faster and more efficiently.
Lastly, we are able to provide you with goods to print on as well. In fact, we prefer to do that! So feel free to ask us to price your job including your blank goods as well as the decorating.
